Let's talk Tucker who is exactly 3 months and 1 week old today. He is actually 3 months 2 weeks and 1 day old today.
I still feel like I need to pinch myself because I'm so so lucky to have this little guy in my life. So happy I get to be his mom. :)
Here is a picture from the day he was born (At the time I was adamant about NOT having my picture taken, but my best friend made me take the picture and I'm glad she did, this is real, this is what someone looks like after birthing a baby)
I started the above post and forgot to submit it.....sorry
So lets talk about his personality shall we,
-He is a talker, he has a habit of sticking his hand in his mouth and just mumbeling all day, it's this cute deep voice unlike any i've ever heard.
-He is teething i'm pretty sure because he slobbers all the time and like I said keeps his hands in his mouth.
-Here is a real shocker, he is eating baby food, I know it's early but I spoke to a doctor about how Tucker watches me when I eat and opens his mouth, that doctor reccommended I try some baby food because those signs indicate that he is ready to eat, and sure enough he is ready! Opens his mouth when the spoon comes close and doesn't spit nearly as much out as I thought he would.
-He is offically sleeping in his crib in his own room now. Bedtime oh where do I begin....I swear you just never know what you're going to get from day to day but MOST days we have a routine of giving him a bath anywhere from 7:30-8:30 and then lotion him up and he's usually getting a bit fussy by then because he knows he gets a bottle right after and then falls asleep. Last night that was not the case....we went on a rare family outting to the park and didn't get home until close to 8:30 so we skipped the bath, gave him a bottle and then him tummy started to hurt and he cried for 30 minutes. It. Hurt. My. Heart. I hate to hear a baby cry from pain but as a mom I could tell his stomach was hurting and and I did the best I could until it subsided. It was a night.
-He is growing so fast the boy is wearing 6-12 month clothing, maybe thats a shock to me because I don't know childrens sizing too well but I know that he is wearing that size and is only 3 1/2 months old!
I've got to go for now, I hope I can post more this week!

I've gotten into the habit of getting up 1 hour before my husband and *fingers crossed* two hours before the kids. I'm a morning person and crave that time to sit and think and drink my coffee. I can see out of the kitchen window, where I sit to write my post, the sun is just about to come up. I'm so tired, Grant nursed a lot through the night last night, which he's been doing more frequently, but I feel good that I'm up and getting ready for the day. Motherhood has changed since Easter. Easter day Grant started to crawl forward, I say that because for weeks he would crawl or slide backward but showed no signs of going forward until Easter. He loves to explore and doesn't need to sit in my lap all day. Not that I've gotten anything done, I just love to sit and watch him and Tucker interact. Its bittersweet, my arms feel free, but I'm starting to think I"m more attached than my kids. I miss him sitting in my arms and looking at me most of the day....
